Positive and potentially negative behavior can lead to flow. For example, a gambler can get into a state of flow for a period of time. Webexperienced “flow” on a regular basis were more likely to be fully engaged in the activity as well as having goals and expectations consistent with learning outcomes. Asakawa (2010) aimed to determine if college students’ “flow” experiences led to individuals that do things for their own sake or are intrinsically motivated in their tasks.
